We are glad to represent our new tool for cross-stitchers! We call it Word Pattern Generator. It allows you to create your own cross-stitch pattern with any word on it!

Just select the pattern style from the set of available alphabets, type a word you want to stitch, and press the button! You can save and/or print the resulting image for convenience. You can also generate several words separately to stitch a phrase. Currently three alphabet styles are available but we will add more in future.

Happy Couple

There is one more handmade embroidery in our collection! We stitched this picture for our friends – a couple celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. :) Look at this design by Acufactum! It is so cute! There are two types of stitches (1×1 and 2×2 threads) and a minimum of back stitch. For this project we used our favorite Zweigart Lugana fabric and thin metal frame with passe-partout. Hope our friends will like it! :)

It’s not a secret that we a crazy about two things: cross-stitching and dogs. :) That’s why we started to create a series of dog breed patterns. Currently three letters are ready – A is for Airedale Terrier, B is for Beagle, D is for Dalmatian.

155 Antique Ukrainian Embroideries. Part 5. Lily (Continuation)

We got so carried away with stitching process that we completely forgot about our “155” project. :) Today we publish three more lily patterns. You can try classic black instead of navy blue that we chose.

We also invite you to participate in the poll at the right top. We would like to know what cross-stitch pattern style our readers prefer. In our view, the symbol style is more common but pretty hard to read. The color block style is clearer but requires a color printer. How about combining these two styles? Isn’t it confusing? Please share your thoughts with us!

Hearts, Hearts, Hearts!

Post to Twitter Post to Facebook Post to Google Buzz Send Gmail

One more Valentine gift is ready for sale! We found this adorable design in the last but one issue of the Russian cross-stitch magazine “Вышиваю Крестиком”. For decoration we used felt of two colors and white plastic frame. The picture turned out to be very neat and delicate.

Sweet Valentine

To get the accurate passe-partout shape we created Heart Pattern Generator first. You can also try it! Just set the heart width, height, and top cut length in centimeters. The pattern to print will have 96 dpi resolution. For instance, the heart of width 5 cm, height 5 cm, and top 1 cm will look like this:

We hope our Heart Pattern Generator will be helpful for making Valentine gifts. Enjoy!

What a godsend! We found one more Ukrainian artist whose embroidery is absolutely amazing! Look at these original creatures! They are so bright and funny! Ivan is definitely a genius! According to the blog description, all works are handmade. Ivan uses textile, floss, buttons, beads, and combines embroidery with cutout technique.
